Just a Little Recap

Books, Video Games, Doctors visits, TV shows, planning trips, WoW.
Just the many things that have kept me busy and distant from blogging.

Over the past month I've had 7 doctor's appointments, including a biopsy and an MRI.

I've read 3 books.

Had an amazing trip into LA with some photographers in our Church.

I've been planning our 2 trips to Michigan over the summer.

I attended a 27 hour Marvel movie marathon, for the debut of Age of Ultron. (see previous post)

I've spent a little time with friends and family, as one of my cousins from Chicago came to visit.

My girl cousins on my mothers side and i
I had been wanting to find The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker for a couple years now, to finish it. Since when I was a kid, and never got to. Now I found one and bought it, and have been playing it for the last week.

And of course the other occasional distractions, like TV shows, WoW, Ruby Etta (my dog), Trying to figure out what I'm meant to do with my life...etc etc

for some reason blogging does not come easy to me. Almost a whole month went by, as I reminded myself to get on here and do this, that I procrastinated and kept on doing some of these other things.
it is something I kinda have to force myself to do.
A reason why I know I'll never be a popular blogger, or blog as a profession.
But I guess it is, what it is.

Just a little update for you all :)

36 Hours of Crazy!

Tuesday as I went to bed, I couldn't help but get butterflies in my stomach, in anticipation for the next day. I couldn't help but go to bed late, even though I needed all the sleep I could get, and I couldn't help waking up a little earlier then I wanted to.

Wednesday was the day, the day we had been waiting for for almost 2 months. The day we would pack as many snacks and Monsters that would fit in my big studded purse, drop Ruby Etta off with my mother, and wait in line for 3 hours.
The Day of the Marvel Movie (11 movie, 27-hour) Marathon.

We Arrived at the Regal Edwards Cinema in Ontario, CA at 3:00pm
and already there was quite a line, thankfully we were at the end of a hallway, so the line after us swooped around, and went way further back, so we had some space with the people near us, and were actually closer to the entrance then originally assumed since people were fairly spread out. We quickly made friends with the people around us and had lively talks for the next 3 hours with before they let us in the theater.

Michael, Andrew, Joshua, Me and Margarete
Once in the theater, we all agreed to sit in together in the back two rows.
and soon the theater was packed.

For a good, well written and informative overview of the movies watched, I defer to Joshua Murcray's post on it here:

The marathon started at 6:46 PM.
Around 6-8 AM, I was yawning so much, it hurt for the next 3 hours, and was ready to give up.
And John (the guy sitting on the other side of Michael) thought that I had said I wasn't going to nap at all, which he found to be impossible and said that he wasn't going to nap till we did, so I took that as a challenge. Around 2 PM on Thursday, I told him that what I meant was I wasn't going to sleep through any of the movies, that doesn't mean the breaks in-between were off limits. So we agreed to sleep the 30 minutes in-between each movie.
Sadly, by that point, I had gotten my second wind, and for the most part, so did John. So I had made it through the whole thing without a single nap!!!

After Guardians of the Galaxy, and right before Age of Ultron. They passed out Avenger-themed 3D glasses. The Hulk was the only ones I didn't want, but I promised Margarete, that I would give her "Captain America" if I got them, which I traded my hulk ones with someone else, then traded her those, and ended up with hulk glasses. In exchange she gave me one of her Thor posters. so that was cool.
They also gave us all MEDALS!!! For basically completing the marathon.

Margarete, Me, Michael, John and Shawn.
They were heavy too, with nice ribbon, I was fairly impressed they didn't just give us little plastic medals :p lol.
It was the best souvenir someone could ask for!

All-in-all it was a great experience, and I'm impressed with myself for having done it without a nap, and blessed to have been apart of it all.

BTW Avengers: Age of Ultron was AMAZING! Maybe it was all the build up to it. but I think it was incredible enjoyable. A good bridge movie in the marvel cinematic series to bring in new characters, dig deeper into characters already seen, and add an element of seriousness I don't feel like we have seen yet. My only complaint, is it was a bit confusing, stuff happened really fast, but I think its because they seemed to cater to people who read the comics, and I've read a lot of X-Men, not avengers. So I honestly don't see it as a flaw, I kinda like that its built that way.
Also I was super tired, so catching up with everything going on, took a minute. Hah.

I'm thoroughly excited for the next few movies, and I'll probably try even see this one a few more times before it leaves the theaters.
